A Fear of the Future

I think of myself to be a pretty laid-back person.

In the theatre, I am mostly cool and collected... I do what needs to be done and I get it done ASAP.

When someone else seems stressed or freaked out, I attempt to reassure them that everything will be okay, and that if something does or does not happen, it is "not the end of the world".

Then why is it, when it comes to things such as school, or my future life, I get so extremely stressed out and frightened that I am either on the verge of tears, or I feel like throwing something up against a wall.

I don't know what I can do to control it. I guess the thought of any independence scares me. Even though I KNOW that independence is what I desperately seek (and need).

Perhaps it's because I keep on thinking of that "What ifs". Like what if I never get accepted into a teaching program? Or what if I get into a teaching program, complete it, and then come to find I absolutely loathe it, or that there are no jobs available? What if I am never able to make enough money to support myself or a family...? My brain seems to never end with these streams of questions and worries.

Any tips on how I can overcome this fear of the future.... and of my life?

"Is ye an honourary Newfoundlander?" "Indeed I is me ol' cock, and long may your big jib draw."

Yes, that's right, I am an HONOURARY Newfoundlander!!

I spent the past 10 or 11 days in Newfoundland. Yes, that is on the OTHER side of the country for me.

Why did I go there, you ask?

My boyfriend is from there, and I went to meet his family and spend time with them (and him, of course).

I love it here!!!

A couple days ago I was "screeched in" to be an honourary newfie.

It tasting nasty but I did it, and I even have the certificate to prove it!!

Anywho, I leave this lovely place tomorrow, so I just wanted to jot down how much I love it before I forget.

To finish, I leave you a picture of me and Joshua.... his sister was kind enough to do a little photoshoot for us!!! :D
