So much stuff coming up!

School soon, with my 19th birthday on the same day we start. (How disgusting!) Then it's my cousin's wedding on the 9th, and me, mom, and Mel are seeing Wicked in Seattle on the 22nd! It'll be crazy fun times.

But, I cannot believe I'm turning 19 in a week! I remember being so excited to turn 16. Now I'm turning 19?! Where the heck does the time go? I swear the past 5 years of my life have gone by so fast. It scares me sometimes. Next thing I know I'll be turning 30, and I'll have a career. Gosh. I guess I better start living life now.

Speaking of living life, I hate all this having to decide on what the heck I'm doing with my life. I mean, I definitley would LOVE to do theatre, I just don't want to be stuck as a starving artist. WHAT DO I DO!? After Douglas I think I'm going to take a year off to just work. Then after maybe I'll hit up a theatre school. GOSH i don't know. There are so many directions I want to take with my life, and I don't know what path to take. It scares me. HELP!

Anyways, I'm so excited for Fiddler, It's going to be great. I got to watch in on L'chaim. Gosh, a LOT of people were missing from the number. It makes me sad that people can't make it to rehearsals. We haven't even had the whole cast together yet! Oh well, hopefully I'll get to meet everyone eventually.

Anyways, now here I am, being a bored cool person.

OVER AND BEGINNING

Well. The Intensive is OVER! Oh man. Even though this was the second time doing it, I still learned SO much. I thought everyone did really well in the showcase, and I'm so happy I got to meet some amazing people! As for my song, I sang it, and it worked out, and that's all I asked for. I now know to work on my soprano, because it's there (I know!). This year I was overly challenged, but I think it's what I needed to get me to realize that i DO want to pursue theatre as a career, or at least keep it a big thing in my life. I have to give props to Mel for discovering it - and me 'copying' whatever she did when we were younger.....otherwise, I don't know where I would be today!

Last night I saw Chris and Chuns show - WAKING UP A GENERATION. Holy olives it was good, let me tell you. The voices were stunning! And jen was such a cute lil chunion with her lil nursing outfit. Except I think I made the show awkward by me laughing REALLY LOUD at parts no one else was laughing at......Whoops! What can I say, I'm amused easily.



Anyways, Tonight I went to jared's for his Grampa's 86th birthday! Wow. It was a great fun time. I watched the Lion King! Yay for ol' Disney Classics. Also, Tomorrow is Jared and I's 15 month anniversary. Holy crap. FIFTEEN MONTHS! That's like, soooo long. hahaha. well for me anyways. I'm excited to celebrate it. I'm with the best boy in the worrrrrld~

Now my main concentration is Fiddler, and getting ready for Lindbjerg classes and school. Oh, and my interview for the casino on Monday. Wooot.

But boy oh boy, I'm so sleepy. I FINALLY GET TO SLEEP IN TOMORROW MORNING! (I had work today @ 7:30am, but it was my 2nd to last shift!)

Wowza. Tomorrow!

So tomorrow is (finally) The Arts Club Musical Theatre Showcase. It's at 2 pm at the Granville Island Stage. And it's free!! So come! There's so much talent to be shown amongst this wonderful group. My group is doing a lyrical to "The Light In The Piazza", and it's absolutely gorgeous, it's definitley my favourite thing I am performing tomorrow. It'll be my first time performing a lyrical number (as it was my first time learning a lyrical number) and it's so coooool. I lurve it. So come!

On a side note, My Little Chunion and her hubby (AKA Jen and Chris) came to Granville Island today at lunch to give Danjiel his crocheted Tobias. And i'm telling you Jen, you better make a chunion, it would be HILARIOUS! Admit it, you love the idea.

Anyways, not much more with life, except I got an interview at the River Rock Casino, as a theatre usher, which I think would be right up my alley. So, hopefully, I get hired! (cross your fingers). As for other stuff, I'm so sad that school is starting soon, but oh well. It'll be my last year at dougie and then we'll see where I go from there. (I am still very indecisive on what to do next).

Guh. Today was just not a fun day.

The song they gave me in the intensive is for a soprano and I'm so not one. I know they're trying to challenge me but i actually hate the song they gave me and it makes me sound so bad. I'm just scared I'm going to disappoint someone if I sing it at the showcase. Another thing is that one of the main ensemble songs is soprano so im just tired and cranky.
Then today while practicing the song someone kneed me in the leg accidently really hard and that part of my leg is all tense and it hurts SO much.

Then more stuff: Jared left today for a fishing trip and i wont get to talk to him for 4 days. It sounds lame (o no, only 4 days!), but he is seriously my support and i talk to him every night so it'll feel uber long.


But now, for good things! M sis is coming home from disneyland today so she'll have presents. YAY

ANNNNND Fiddler started yesterday and i got an arts club t-shirt from iain because it didn't fit him, and im turning 19 in 14 days.

YAY.

Okay, that is all man.

Holy Shiza Muffin.

I am super confused with most of my intensive stuff this year.
I don't know why - I guess I really am stepping out of my comfort zone? I just don't know.

MAN I'm exhausted. And Home Alone. The parentals and Anthony are in San Fran, but they come home tomorrow, and my sis is in Disneyland with her lover, Brad. I wish I could go to Disneyland for a week. Unfortunately, I'm poor.

That's another thing, I'm quitting the bakery (finally!) this Saturday. But this means I'll have to find another job so I won't be a broke bum on the street. Man, I hate money.

I also hate people who push in front of you to take the Skytrain. I mean, HELLO!? You'll get on it eventually, don't die. I also hate people lifting me.

Sorry, kinda a rant-ing blog. I would rant more but I'm just too exhausted to.

Yeah, So...

I can't believe time is going by so fast. Seriously, it's so scary.

This weekend was fun. My friend Karen had a party at her house Saturday night, and today my sister and I took the beautiful Kim Bunka for lunch before she leaves for Grant McQuwan. (I totally spelt that wrong, but whatever.)

I'm so tired, I keep on falling asleep. Maybe I should just go to bed perhaps? Naw, Amanda, sleep? Never.

Anyways, I'm excited for this week at the intensive. I can't believe we're already going into week two! And Fiddler rehearsals begin on Sunday, I am so excited to meet the cast.

I better continue looking up Meisner and Stanislavski's acting techniques. Sandra wanted us to do a little research on them.

What's been happening lately with me?
Well - I just finished my first week of The Arts Club musical theatre intensive. I cannot believe a week has gone by SOOO fast!

I am singing "Will He Like Me?" from She Loves Me. Man, it's a HIGH song for me. I'm not used to being a soprano!

And soon, Fiddler rehearsals begin! I'm super excited for those to start.
