Happy Birthday, Jesus! (and Happy Christmas, everyone!)
Next up for me - Quebec City! I absolutley cannot wait. Seriously - whyy does time go by sooo quickly?? I haven't the slightest clue. Anyways, I haven't really started packing yet (yikes), so tomorrow's going to be a busy day for me.. I hope I'm able to do it all tomorrow, as my flight leaves the next morning at 8:50. Woo.- I have to go out and buy a few things for my trip, pack my things, and then head over to Jared's for a little dinner his mom is doing "as a celebration of me leaving and a goodbye party". But mostly just a Christmasy dinner so I am able to spend the day with Jared and his fam before I depart.
Speaking of Jared and departing.... he got me a suitcase for Christmas! How spoiled am I??
Anyways, I better start getting semi-organized before I head to bed. Since I probably won't be talking to most of you until the New Year, have a Happy New Year!
Much Love!

It's the most wonderful time of the year... jerks.
Went Christmas caroling at the UBC hospital with Jared and his sister and her friends. The elderly people there really appreciated us coming out and singing a few tunes - we may go back again!
Went for a wonderful dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Gastown with Jared and his family. When we walked back to his truck - there was his passenger window smashed to bits. My backpack of clothes (including my fave brown sweater and my I heart NY pajama pants....not to mention my crappy but reliable mp3 player) and Jared's 2 backpacks of stuff and some Cd's.....stolen.
Here are a few pics of this WONDERFUL, AMAZING incident.

It's just so frusterating that people have to do these things....let alone at Christmas time. Now Jared will have to pay for a new window - I just hate people right now.
That was my LOVELY experience of the day.

Dancer?
I was thinking about it - about entering a dance competition with a dance number solo or duo and seeing what happens with it!
It's a pretty random thought, but I think it would be really super!
Anyways, what is up with this odd weather?! The wind was so strong that there are so many power outages everywhere! Oh well.
Christmas is coming soon (yay) and 2 days after I'm off to Quebec.
Anyways, that's all for now, really.

Dooo Daa....Life.
I guess I'm mostly excited because this is my first big trip by myself!
And This Picture Above is where I'll be staying - The Hilton in Old Quebec!!
And for what price for 4 nights? $54!! That's right.....that includes my conference fee. I'm so blessed!!
I'm booking my flight tomorrow.....I'm leaving the 27th and coming back on the 2nd.....not that it should matter to anyone....
I hate to say it, but it'll be so nice to be away from home for awhile. I think it's exactly what I need. I think I need to go away and make some new, fresh friends whom I can have a different relationship with - one where I have my faith in common with them.
As for other news,
1) I finished 2 exams, and I have 2 more to go!! I got a little tired from studying, so I decided to come write here.
2) I still haven't gone Christmas shopping yet, and I still don't know what to get anyone!
3) Saturday is the last day of Classes until the new year for Lindbjerg! And it's a Pajama Day!! WOOO HOO!
4) I went to go see "The Holiday" with Cameron Diaz, Jack Black, Kate Winslet
and Jude Law on Saturday Night with my two good friends from high school. It was an amazing movie (I strongly suggest it!) I almost cried so many times during it, but surprisingly I held it in (I would have felt like an idiot being the only one crying).... IT WAS SOOOO CUTE! If anyone wants to see it, I'll gladly go see it again!
Also, it was nice to see Sam and Candice - the only two people who actually care about me and my life and hang out with them... since i haven't seen them in forever.
Anyways, I think that's all on the mind right now....I better go do some more studying!
Happy Christmas!!

Can I get a WOOT for procrastination!?
As for Quebec City - I've decided that I am going to go! I'm really excited! Thanks everyone who gave me their input. I appreciate it, greatly.
Now the trouble is:
1)Raising the money I need so I can actually go.
2)Finding a flight with someone so I won't have to fly by myself.
I'm really excited because I haven't been on a plane since I was 8 years old! I think this is going to be totally worth it.
As for other news, I have none. Except that I desperately miss certain people and I really really need to hang out with them soon before I head into friendship depression mode. Yuck!!

To go, or not to go?
Rise Up is a Conference that a group I'm in (Catholic Christian Outreach aka CCO) has every year. This year, it is in Quebec.
Basically, It's a 5 day conference, filled with worship, praise, workshops, masses, and a big New Years Eve Bash. There are usually about 400 people there - most post secondary students involved with CCO.
I'm really struggling deciding whether I should go or not.
I want to go beacause I've never been to Eastern Canada before, and I think it would be an amazing experience. My bible study leader, Amber, told me that she'd seen me grow in my faith a lot more this year, and she thinks it would be a good year for me to go. I also want to go because I'll grow even more in my faith with Christ and I'll get to meet some amazing people.
The reasons I don't want to go is because I'll be away from family and Jared during New Years - and that I don't have the money to go. A plane ticket there and back is $900.
Amber said that all I would need to raise for this would to be at least $300, and the rest CCO would cover because she really wants to see me there. She says that if I do really want to go, that God will provide the rest of the money for me.
But I've been having this feeling like I'm not ready to be going, like I shouldn't be partaking in this quite yet.
I don't know what to do - money wise, I'd be fundraising and asking people for money, and I HATE doing that because I feel terrible about asking people for money, especially during Christmas time.
I have to give Amber an answer by tomorrow whether I'm going or not.
Someone, please help!! ASAP!
Thanks.
-Amanda
