No one blogs anymore!!

It's sad, really. It seems that Facebook has taken over the web. Even I, miraculously, have forgotten that I even OWN a blog the past few months. Then today, Hallelujah! I remembered. Not that anyone reads these anymore. I guess i'm just doing this for myself now....

School starts tomorrow, and I'm headed off to my brand new school, SFU. It's scary to think that I'll be going into my 3rd year of post secondary education. It's also scary to think that I'll no longer have anyone holding my hand throughout my schooling. Yikes.

As for other things, High School Musical rehearsals also start tomorrow, which should be super fun. It'll definitley be a change from doing Footlight shows, and I'm going to certainly miss my Footlight Family of 5 years.

I am also teaching for Lindbjerg again this year. Not only Lindbjerg though - I also got offered a job for Xtreme theatre - a musical theatre company for homeschooled children. I am really excited and I know it's going to be really fun.

So, it looks like I'm going to have my hands full for the fall - which is a good thing, I suppose.

I'll try to remember that i own a blog and update this thing more often!!

All for Now!

AHHH

It makes me sad that blogging is going downhill.

Oh well.

I've been working at Pajo's Fish & Chips for about three weeks now. I'm having fun and the people there are super nice.

Grease opens tomorrow night!! Yippee!!

I went to Playland yesterday and now my chest is as red as a lobster. It makes me sad.

Next week I start teaching for Lindbjerg Academy's Summer School! That'll be tons of fun!!

And lastly, I have to register for SFU classes soon - but I have NO idea what to take!!

PS - talk to me on facebook. No one uses this thing anymore :(

All Done.

Well, All the Lindbjerg shows are finito! (Besides year end recital, but meh).
It's actually quite nice to just sit at home and relax a little.

I'm also in the midst of grease rehearsals, and let me tell you - I am SOO stoked about this show! The cast is phenomenal, and the choreography is sweet! I certainly sweat up a storm in rehearsals (let me tell you!). It's actually pretty nasty because I end up getting these pit stains and well.....we all know how that is.

Also, This Saturday I'm going to my callback for High School Musical! Most of the oarts are already cast, but I'm still super excited to be called back for Ensemble (because we all know that being in the chorus is sweet). Wish me luck!!

ALSO - Thanks to the wonderful Karen Bunka, I may have a part time job lined up at Pajo's!! That is, if the manager decides to hire me. I really hope to get the chance to work there because I am in desperate need to do something this summer other than sit on my bum during the day and head to rehearsals/shows @ night!!

What else.....Oh! I bought the new Maroon 5 CD and the Regina Spektor CD and I am LOVING them! *sigh*.

I think that's all for now!

Checking In.

Hi all who still reads this!!

Hope everyone is well.

Just wanted to update my life!! (so that creepers won't get mad at me anymore *cough* Eli *cough*).

Well, Anne'd first week of performances came and went and I feel very honoured and blessed to be in such a show! Being the eldest in the cast (besides our lovely Matthew, of course), I am so privledged to work with such young and talented performers. Each one gives it their all. Not to mention that playing Marilla is one of the biggest challenges I've had in my theatre life. I really hope whoever reads this can make it out to my last performance - May 26th at 7:30pm. I promise you that you will not be disappointed!!

As for other things, Grease is going well (even if I have only been to 2 rehearsals). It's going to be an awesome show, and I'm really excited for it!!

I am also currently getting ready for another show - The Jungle Book! I helped assistant direct and choreograph the show! The oldest in the cast is 12 I believe, it's a really cute show and I'm excited to get it into the theatre and running!

I auditioned for Uncle Randt's High School Musical - but I have not heard anything from them. Hopefully I will soon!
That's about it for now - later days!!

I've just been so full of news lately...

Ok, so after weeks of contemplation....I've finally decided to become an SFU student. So, I am offically attending SFU in the fall. Woo. It's actually pretty relieving to make a decision finally.

In other news, I got into Theatre Under the Stars' Grease as a chorus member! So I'm super stoked for that - rehearsals start May 13th. I'm going to be so busy with that! I rehearse 4 times a week, and then when the show opens we run every second night (19 shows all together, me and my sister counted!) It'll be a fabulous show though - I know most of the cast and the one's I don't know I sort of met during the audition process and everyone seems really nice. Yay!

Umm, so me and my friend Candice are watching the midnight showing os Spiderman 3 tomorrow (Woo Hoo!) So excited for that.

Anne opens in like 2 weeks. It's insane how fast time flies. For those of you who want to come see us perform, I play Marilla on the Following Dates:

Friday May 18 - 7:30pm
Sunday May 20 - 2:00pm
Saturday May 26 - 7:30pm

The show is playing at the Inlet Theatre in Port Moody.
If you would like more details feel free to email me!!

Woot.

OKAY. This is more news - short.

I booked an audition for Uncle Randy's Production of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL! My audition is May 6th. Wish me luck!

Woo Hoo!

I have very very very exciting news!!
I'M DONE WITH SCHOOL AT DOUGLAS! I finished my last exam about an hour ago and I'm so thankful it's all over!!
Now I have much more time on my hands to do more IMPORTANT things (like memorizing my lines from Anne). That'll be superb.
Saturday night Catholic Christian Outreach had it's Spring Banquet - a rap up of the school year. Here are some pictures to share!!
Here's Kerry, Aleisha, and myself before dinner! Aleisha was a member on staff this year, and she left to go back to Ottawa today! *tear*

Me and Jared!! Aw, Cute cute, I know.

Me and the parentals!

Me and my friends Carolyn, and Jen. We were all on CCO Douglas' Student Leadership Team, The "Jaci Jung 5" (Long story)!!

Here is one of my fave pics - the gals in Black, Red and White!!

I'm back!!

After 40 long days and nights I can finally come back to my beautiful websites in which I gave up for Lent. Yay! By the way, Happy Easter.

Lots to be updated on, I suppose. Okay. Where to start...

School ends on Wednesday, and I am so excited. Then 2 exams and I'm outta there! Yess!

Unfortunate news is that I did not get accepted into UBC like I hoped. Therefore I think I'll be taking a year off and working (or something like that). I'm still pretty up in the air with everything so I'm just trying to figure out what I should do. I've been going between a lot of options in my head, such as auditioning for a theatre school, going to SFU, or even applying to a evangelizing youth program out in Ottawa for a year. I don't know. I mean, I know I'm still young and all, and that I have my whole life ahead of me.....I just wish I knew where to start.

As for theatre stuff, Anne of Green Gables is coming up in May, so that should be exciting. I'll give more info when it comes nearer to the show. It feels like I haven't done a Lindbjerg show in forever, it'll be nice to be on a small stage again.

I auditioned for TUTS, but haven't heard anything back, unfortunately. I'm trying to be as patient as I can but my gut feeling is that I didn't get in. Which is okay, it just means I can make more money. But it's also sad because I won't be doing a musical anytime soon after Anne (I don't think).

Umm. Last night I went to my first club (yeah, it took me 8 months after my 19th birthday to go to one). It was for my friends birthday, and we had a grand time. It was nice to see a bunch of my friends from high school whom I hadn't seen in a long time.

Nothing too exciting is happening in my life right now, I'm just waiting for something to spark up. Once it does, I'll inform you guys (that is, if you guys are still really addicted to blogging and whatnot.....I know Randy is :) ).

Later Days!!

My life updated. I think.

Hey guys!

Well, where to start? Firstly, I got my hair cut! Wooo! I usually go a whole year without cutting my hair....so it feels nice and short! Here's a pic (you can kinda see it):

Insane, is it not? Especially since my hair was past my boobs prior to this cut. I love it though, it makes me happy inside!
I also hope everyone had a splendid Valentines Day! I sure did. Jared and I went to eat at Subway (it's a tradition) and then we rented Bram Stoker's Dracula. (Such romantics, eh?) It was plain and simple and we had a great time.
As for other news...I'm auditioning for TUTS a week from today, and I'm still struggling on a second song to sing. Hmm...
What else.
OH YEAH
I'm going to go see Switchfoot tomorrow night! and then I'm seeing Tenacious D the next night. It shall be good times....I haven't been to a concert in a long time (I used to be a total concert junkie...until 2nd semester of college) so I'm really excited to be going to two in two days.
One last thing - I found out that my friend Candice is moving to LONDON for 6 months to live avec her papa. How jealous am I? Very.

Take My Picture, Charlie Brown.

I made a video for my cast of Charlie Brown the other day.

Sigh, memories.

Do you know what really Grinds my Gears?

Do you know what really Grinds my Gears?
-When people change who they are in order to please others.
-When you've worked really hard and long in theatre, and people who have had less experience get bigger roles.
-When there's no more chocolate chips in the cupboard to make chocolate chip cookies.

Hi All!

Hope everyone's well.
Well, I'm certainly not well - and neither is my family. We've all caught this ridiculous cold (except Mel) and it's really draining. I'm freezing silly right now and my head is all dizzy. Darn.

Other than that, I'm alright!!

I went to UBC last night for a little session about the school. I'm really excited about leaving Douglas and heading to a "big kid" school!! I'm a big kid now.

Also, I'm really excited about TUTS auditions. It'll be my first time auditioning, so it shall be an experience!!

Anyways, I'm starting to get too cold to type now, I'll write more later!

Don't know what my title should be called woo hoo.

Since I'm waiting to recieve an email from my History Partner, I decided to blog.

Sunday was the Ovation Awards and I want to congratulate everyone who won!! I could not believe how much talent was in that room. It was great to be able to perform in Charlie Brown and Fiddler again - good times! I truly miss Charlie Brown though and it made me a little sad. Anyways, the night as a whole went quite well.

Right now I'm a pretty busy girl, with school, teaching, and CCO. I am now a part of CCO's leadership core team, which is super exciting, and we're already organizing our first event!! I'm also leading a faith study this semester, so I'm pretty excited about that!!

What else? I'm auditioning for Canadian Idol on Sunday because I'm cool like that. I auditioned last year and since I didn't get a callback for Triple Sensation, why not?? I figure it's always a good experience to go to as many auditions as you can, even if they're sort of ridiculous.

Hmm ... yeah life is pretty bleh right now. Once something exciting happens I'll let you know.

Happiness is finding a video.

This video makes me laugh and smile whenever I watch it.

It's from the CCO Vancouver staff. Each region had to make a little something for Rise Up and this is what they made. I Love Them!

OMG SOOO EMO!! Sorry.

1:06 AM:

Can't sleep.

I'm craving a female friend.

What does this mean??

It means I crave someone who I can have sleepovers with.
Who I can eat a whole carton of ice cream with while we watch The Notebook.
Who I can talk to about....girly things.

I miss being young.

I had my Triple Sensation audition today...
Let's just say it felt like utter crap.
I hate when auditions go not the way you wanted them to - they totally lower your confidence in performing (not like I have much left anyways).

Oh well.

Saw "The Pursuit of Happyness" with Will Smith after my audition.
I teared up.
A Lot.

Lately it seems like I'm doing things for no reason - like I'm losing motivation for everything I do.
It seems to me like I get this feeling quite a bit....almost too much.

I think it's because I go through these withdrawels and then I see my friends or other people having a tremendous time together in pictures and whatnot and it makes me feel like a bloody bad friend.

On a superbly good note = My Acting Class @ Douggie is amazing and I'm so glad to be taking it!!

Sorry if this blog is a downer - I really didn't expect it to be. I just let words flow out.

I'm such an emo lately.

I promise my next one will be filled with Joy and Happiness.

Because I'm going to "pursue my happyness" (hahahha, get it? get it?)

School Stress!

The past two days have been the most stressful this year. (Way to start a new year, stressed already!)

I had sent an email to the lady (Kathy) running my program at Douglas asking her what the next steps are for graduating. Yesterday I recieved an email from her saying that she didn't think I had enough second year courses.

Now, at my two years at Douglas, I have not taken any second year courses. ANY. So I check the Douglas website under the requirments for the Associate of Arts program. Under semesters III and IV, it said I needed to have 3 Second-year arts courses. That means I would need 6 altogether. Now, not having taken any second year courses, I began to panic. Not having these courses meant I was not eligable to graduate from Douglas, meaning I would not be able to recieve my diploma. I started looking up second year classes that I may be able to take this semester in order to graduate, and I was only able to take three. All the other second year courses required prerequisites in order to take the course, which I have not taken. So of course, I was freaking out.

Today I went to see her, because I had sent her an email advising me what to do, since I have not taken any of these 2nd year courses. She sent me an email about 5 minutes later saying I misunderstood her, and for me to stop by her office. So I did. It turns out exactly 6 of my courses transfer as 2nd year courses. I was so relieved!! Exactly six courses. She thought I had planned it like that, because the courses I took were so random. She said that most 1st year English courses don't transfer as 2nd year courses, but I was lucky enough to have chosen some to transfer as 2nd year ones.

All I can say is that God was definitley on my side for this one!

So now all the stress is gone off my back and I am completley relieved that I am eligable for graduation after this semester. Woo!!

As for the rest of it, classes are going swell. I had my first Acting class this morning, and I'm super excited about it. I think it'll really help the acting portion on the triple threat scale. Now all I have to do it take some dance classes at Harbour to keep my dancing in shape and I'll be good to go for Triple Sensation!

Speaking of Triple Sensation, does anyone happen to have a comedic female monologue under 2 minutes that they would think would be good for me?? It doesn't HAVE to be comedic, but I figured since I'm mainly a comedic actor I should show my main strength!!

WOO.

I'm Home!!

Oh my word.

Words cannot even describe the past week I experienced. There's so much to tell!

I'll only tell you the highlights - everything was sooo good, we'd be here forever if I told you guys everything!

I got on my flight with my friend Kerry the morning of the 27th. We arrived in Ottawa, not knowing anything. We didn't know who was picking us up, where we were staying, or even where the bus was meeting the next day to get to Quebec!! Luckily, Kerry went to the washroom, and on her way back she saw this guy holding up a sign saying "CCO Canada" on it. Boy, God is good!

We arrived at the Regier's who are the FOUNDERS OF CCO. We got to stay at their house for the night. What a privledge. They are wonderful people with 5 kids.

The conference itself was absolutley amazing. I learned so much about my faith - the Catholic faith - and I am so proud and blessed to be a Catholic! All the people there were the nicest people I have ever met - not one was snooty or thought they were above someone else. It was sooooo great to be around people of the same mind set.

We were blessed to have the Arc of the New Covenant in our presense (see the above picture). The Arc of the New Covenant is a symbol made by young people in preperation for the Eucharistic Congress that is to happen in Quebec City in 2008. It is rich in symbolism and in meaning.

On the 3rd night of the conference, this Arc was one of the turning points for me. We were each given a piece of paper and a pencil, and on that piece of paper, we were to write down a name of someone who we were to commit to in helping them seek the Lord. After writing their name on a piece of paper, we were given a charm for a necklace of the crucifix (blessed by the Pope!) to give to them. Then we were to walk up to the Arc, say a prayer for the person, and drop their name into the Arc. Wow. It was so deep and a very emotional night for me.

Another emotional night for me was the night before, where we participated in Eucharistic Adoration, as well as the Sacrament of Reconcilication. I hadn't gone to confession in years. I knew this was my chance to cleanse myself of my sins. I had put it off before because I found it stupid to be going to a priest for forgiveness, but now I know why. I was also putting it off because I was scared that the priest would judge me for my sins and for not being to confession in years. But, I gathered up all my courage after praying for a very extremley long time. I sat next to the priest, and as I was about to say my sins, I started bawling my eyes out. The priest was very patient and understanding, and he did not judge me at all. It was amazing.

Another amazing experience was on New Years Eve. We got to go to mass in the old Cathedral in Old Quebec. Inside was breath taking, as you can see from the pictures.

Over 400 Young People did a procession before the mass to the cathedral. We stopped outide the gates of old Quebec, lit candles, and then parted (like the sea) to allow the Eucharist to enter between and and then lead us to the church. Nuns were running to their windows to see the Eucharist, and people were running out of shops. It was so....i can't even describe it. When we went into the church someone did a count - and about 50 people who were not a part of our group followed us into the church!!

After the mass, we all ran back to the Hotel to get ready for our New Years Banquet and Dance! That was sooooooo fun.
Think about it this way....people dancing and having the time of their life sober and clean from drugs. At midnight, after saying Happy New Year and giving hugs to strangers around you, you sing Praise and Worship to the Lord. What a way to start off a new year!
Here are some pictures of New Years Night!!

Me and my friend Lisa!!

Me, Lisa, Mike, Sarah, and Brock.

Praising and Worshiping at Midnight:

This was one of the best experiences of my life.

Here are a few more fun photos in general of Quebec, Ottawa, and some from the conference!

Me and my friend Brian Bird (who is the lead singer from Jared's band!)

Rob. He was the speaker for the Opening Session (and I have the honour of having him be on staff for CCO at Douglas!)

Me and an odd Jester Statue in Old Quebec. (I made really good friends with him!)

The View from my room!!
These are just tidbits.
Thanks to all of you who told me to go for it. It was a life changing experience!!!
